Meet Our BSL Digital Signers: Rae & Mars

Our BSL Digital Signers are based on the appearance of real members of the Deaf Community, with a royalty scheme to reward their use. Through advanced image capture, we have created photo-realistic Digital Signers that generate accurate BSL videos, complete with facial expressions and body movements.

Rae: Based on our Head of Translation and Data, Rachel Benyon, Rae is our original signer, modeled after Deaf expertise for natural, expressive BSL.

Mars: The newest addition to our BSL Digital Signers, Mars is based on our Deaf Impact Officer, Marcus Oaten, bringing fresh energy while rooted in authentic Deaf signing styles.
